Attempt number unknown... the story behind this blog

This particular blog does not have a super intriguing origin story, but is made more interesting by the fact that this is not my first attempt at a blog. Camera Guided Adventures was a class project for a marketing course in my graduate project. During the term I had to design the website, create a couple of blog posts and then run marketing campaigns via email and social media and report of the outcomes. Those initial campaigns combined free marketing tactics and paid tactics, which as is true in the greater business world, reaped results correlated to the size of investment made.
Once the class I wanted to challenge myself to keep the blog going, at least through the year of my subscription of the website domain. And it has been a challenge, but I am passionate about travel and photography. This blog made sense as a way to share my photography and writing while structuring it with the adventures I go on.

However, I have a little bit of a leg up on the situation because this is not the first blog or website I have attempted in my life. Unfortunately though, previous blogs have failed to remain active after a few months or would be revived with periodic posts. Some of my previous attempts at blogs were "Developing Life from the Negatives," a photography blog, and "My Journey to..." an electronic diary while I was in school and for a bit of time after graduating. I thought these blogs had been lost when the host changed and deactivated the blog services, but one day the icon for the blogging platform reappeared and sure enough, there were my previous blogs and the ability to post on them. Since I already had this blog going I did not "reactivate" either of those other blogs that seem to still be alive. In case you wanted to go looking for them, I will save you the effort. The blogs on the other platform have been backed up onto my computer and deleted.
Do I think Camera Guided Adventures will finally be the blog that breaks my pattern of blogs have a short life? I do not know. All I know is that I like photography, I like writing and I like traveling. This blog is a way to keep doing those things and many others that I enjoy doing. I have content planned that I can spread out for six months to a year and that does not include anything that has not happened yet that could inspire new content. I also have ideas for content more on the fringes of the topics incorporated with this blog currently that I may include, but then that would make it less niche, which is ill-advised by almost every business and especially content creator (which is not my main goal here) today.

But at the end of the day, this is my blog. The ideas in this blog, shared both in images and in words, are mine. I will do what feels right for me for this blog. So for now the question is only what is next and where to next?
